ORIGIN/HABITAT: Africa. Plants have been found in Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Zaire. They grow in shade in evergreen forest at 3600-3950 ft. (1100-1200 m)
