ORIGIN/HABITAT: Southeast Asia. Plants are widespread in the eastern
Himalayas from the Manipur region of northeastern India through the
Tenasserim, Maymyo, and Chin Hills regions of Burma, across northern and
eastern Thailand, through Laos and Vietnam, and into Yunnan and Gweizhou
Provinces of southwest China. In Thailand, plants grow in dry deciduous
forests at 800-5600 ft. (250-1700 m).
