ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. Pabst & Dungs (1975-1977) reported that these
plants are found in the hot, humid lowlands and the cooler mountain
regions in the states of Espírto Santo, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. We
have been unable to located any more specific habitat information than
this, so the following climate table and cultural suggestions should be
used somewhat cautiously.
