ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. This orchid, which was described in 1996, has
been collected in southern Ecuador in Loja Province near the community of
Loja at 9500-11,150 ft. (2900-3400 m), between Loja and Zamora at 9000
(2750 m), and in Zamora-Chinchipe Province at 8850-9200 ft. (2700-2800 m).
