Comments: Parent plant: This is a bit atypical because the synsepal (combined lateral sepals) is fused all the way to the end of the caudae, instead of forking just short of them. Small plant.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia. Early collections of this species were reportedly made near Ocaña in the Eastern Cordillera, but habitat details were not given. In recent years, plants have been found in the Department of Antioquia near Santo Domingo at 6550-7000 ft. (2000-2130 m).
