Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: The plant is in a wooden basket without material; 50% shade and watered copiously for 9 out of the 12 months of the year; fed with every watering (1/4 tsp. per gallon); Watering and feeding are reduced during the September to December period . Plant is subjected to temperatures that range from mid-to-high 60s up to mid 90s °F.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Widespread in southeast Asia. The habitat extends eastward from Nepal and Sikkim and includes the hills of northeastern India, the Moulmein and Tenasserim regions of Burma, Thailand, southwestern China, Laos, and Vietnam. Plants have been reported as far south as Malaya. They usually grow at 1650-5000 ft. (500-1520 m), but in some habitats, plants are found as high as 7850 ft. (2400 m).
