The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Madagascar. This epiphytic orchid is found in eastern and
central Madagascar where it grows in moist forests at 1950-4900 ft.
(600-1500 m) in areas with cool, fairly dry winters. Collections have been
reported from near Talatakely, which is about 19 mi. (30 km) from
Antananarivo.
