Pod Parent Plant with capsules

Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Grow warm to intermediate, with partial shade. This plant is grown in cultivation on Guam, mounted on a Schefflera tree in full sun and shaded by epiphytic ferns. Plant in "blooming plant" photograph is a division of the plant with capsules.

Comments: This was the first known pollination of this individual and over 100 pods were observed.

Parent plant: Miniature plant. Single fleshy leaf (2 cm x 0.7 cm) on a 3 mm pseudobulb, connected by slender, branched rhizome. Flowers appear from nodes between and at the base of pseudobulbs several times a year. Flowers are small and creamy white, with sepals 0.3 to 0.5 cm and petals 0.1 to 0.2 cm. Flowers last a day or two.
