Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range Warm-Intermediate 87-64°F, cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F.
Comments: I grow about 20 different clones of this species and have chosen the most robust and large-flowererd parents with clean flower markings for this cross.
Pod parent plant: Found in Asssam, Myanmar and Thailand as a medium sized, pendant, hot to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 450 to 1550 meters. Plant is best grown mounted; canes grow upright, not pendent.

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker
The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.
This text is copyrighted by the Bakers and may not be reproduced without permission.
ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northeastern India, Burma, and possibly Thailand. Plants
grow at about 5000 ft. (1520 m) in the Indian states of Manipur and
Mizoram. They are found in the hills of eastern and western Burma from the
latitude of Bhamo in the north to the latitude of Moulmein in the south.
The original discovery in Burma was reported west of Prome at about 1500
ft. (457 m). Other reports indicate that plants grow at moderate
elevations. Although plants are sometimes reported to occur in Thailand,
Seidenfaden (ref. 454) indicates that he has been unable to locate records
or plants that would confirm these reports.
