ORIGIN/HABITAT: Africa. Found from tropical west Africa eastward to
western Ethiopia, with plants reported from Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gabon,
Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, Uganda, and
Zaire. Plants are found in dense forest growing as terrestrials on sandy
loam and in riverside forests at 3950-4250 ft. (1200-1300 m)..
