Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range Warm-Intermediate 87-64°F, cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F. Potted in Medium fir bark mix with #3 horticultural charcoal and sponge rock, ratio 4:1:1.
Comments: Parent plant: This species is thought to be native to Borneo. According to Norito Hasegawa and Harold Koopowitz, the plant I grow is a division of the original Paphiopedilum stonei var. latifolium 'Ruth Kennedy' awarded an AM/AOS in 1981. Now known as Paph. platyphyllum. Purchased at an AOS auction in 2003. Medium-sized plant.
