ORIGIN/HABITAT: Vietnam. Seidenfaden (1979 & 1992) indicates that this
orchid is endemic to Vietnam where it has been collected in Annam, at
Dalat, near Kon Ha Nung, and at Tram Lab. Unfortunately, no precise
details of habitat location or elevation were reported, so the following
climate table and cultural suggestions are based on the reported Dalat
collection but should be used rather cautiously until such time as more
exact information is available. Siegerist (2001) reported the occurrence
of this species in Vietnam, Thailand, and the Malay Peninsula, but gave no
details. Seidenfaden's work on orchids in this region failed to reflect
this distribution.
