Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range Warm-Intermediate 87-64°F, cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F. Easy to grow provided it is kept moist (do not let dry completely) and given light to medium shade, good air movement. Tolerant of wide temperature range, with extremes in my greenhouse of 54°F minimum in winter, 95°F maximum in summer. Mounted on cork with New Zealand sphagnum and live moss.
Pollen parent plant: Warm-Intermediate 87-64°F, cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F.

Comments: Pod parent plant: Endemic to Sabah, Borneo where it grows in mossy forests, on branches low to the ground, 1500 m elevation. Creeping pseudobulbs are globose, olive green, suffused with purple. Inflorescences emerge from the base of the pseudobulb, about 10-12 inches long, with 10-12 highly unusual flowers with feathery lip that moves with the air. Blooms appear late fall through early spring, last about 10 days. Small plant.
