Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F). Plant is mounted. During the winter, it is kept in the 35°F-60°F night/day range, and spends the summer indoors in air-conditioning at less than 75°F with an occasional humid night outside when the temperature drops lower.
Comments: Cool growing species from China and Tibet possibly N. Vietnam with an enormous root system and fragrant flowers. Deciduous in nature. Some consider this species synonymous with Phal. hainanensis.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Western China in Szechuan and Yunnan provinces, eastern
Tibet, and the Likiang snow range and Yangtze watershed at 4920-7000 ft.
(1500-2150 m). The climate information, based on a station in Burma is
