Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F). This Holcoglossum species will tolerate hotter weather. I've have had much success growing this one in my west window with filtered light. Blooms every fall to early winter.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: China and Vietnam. This orchid was discovered in Yunnan Province, but details of habitat location and elevation were not reported. Plants have since been found in northern Vietnam where collections were made near Cao Bang at 1000-3600 ft. (300-1100 m) and near Ha Giang at 4900-5250 ft. (1500-1600 m). Near Cao Bang, these plants were growing as epiphytes in shady, humid areas in evergreen, broad-leaved, and mixed primary forests found on rocky, marblelike, weathered limestone as well as in forest remnants along streams in alluvial valleys among limestone ridges.
