ORIGIN/HABITAT: Myanmar (Burma) and peninsular Thailand. Grant (1895)
reported that this orchid is from the Tenasserim region where it grows on
the shores of Mergui. Distribution extends southward into the Thai
Peninsula where Seidenfaden (1979) reported collections from near Kopah
and Muang Lan, Ranong. Specific elevations were not reported, but we
assume from the description that plants grow on the shores of Mergui that
these are low-elevation plants.
