ORIGIN/HABITAT: The Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. In the Solomon
Islands, this epiphytic orchid has been found on Bougainville,
Guadalcanal, Kolombangara, and Makira where it grows in rainforest at
250-1650 ft. (70-500 m). Although reported as occurring in New Guinea, we
have been unable to locate material reporting specific habitat location or
elevation on the island.
