Culture Notes from Donor: North American terrestrial. Not too easy; needs special conditions. Appreciates cool-cold nights. Can be grown in a shallow pan but prefers to grow out of doors in moist, well drained bed or in sloping mixed deciduous/coniferous woodlands. Prefers humus rich soil with a fair amount of sand. Absolutely must have at least a quarter inch of mixed leaf litter on top of growing area or it will not root! Needs fairly acidic soil (pH 5.0-6.8) Requires low-moderate light (no direct sunlight) and ample shade during midday. MUST be wintered out of doors. Beautiful evergreen foliage and fragrant white flowers. If it is happy, it will form nice clumps. Blooms in spring.
Comments: Parent plant: Small plant.
