The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Endemic eastern Java. Plants grow in the high mountain
mistforests on Mt. Lawu and Mt. Semeru at 7550-9850 ft. (2300-3000 m), but
Comber (ref. 73) states that he has never found the plant below 8850 ft.
(2700 m). Plants usually grow on small exposed trees in areas where mists
are common.
