Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Likes near full sun and seems indifferent to temperatures between 40°F and 95°F (4.4°C and 35°C). I grow this outdoors in Tampa and bring inside only on the coldest nights.
Comments: Parent plant: Very hardy and vigorous grower. Will bloom more or less year round. Grows 2 to 4 feet tall.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. This orchid has been
collected in Colombia in the department of Antioquia at about 7850 ft.

the provinces of Morona-Santiago, Napo, Pastaza, Sucumbios, Tungurahua,
and Zamora-Chinchipe at elevations of 2600-7850 ft. (800-2400 m), but most
of the collections were made between 4900 and 6550 ft. (1500 and 2000 m).
Schweinfurth (1958-1961) reported several collections in Peru where plants
were found in the department of Loreto near Moyobamba at about 3300 ft.
