ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. Plants are found in the Province of Pastaza west
of Puyo. They grow in tall, wet forests at about 3300 ft. (1000 m), with
collections reported from several locations in eastern and southeastern
Ecuador at 2950-5250 ft. (900-1600 m).
