ORIGIN/HABITAT: Jamaica. Plants grow near Negril on the extreme
west-southwestern tip of the island. They are found on a ridge known as
Negril Hill, which is about 10 mi. (16 km) long and rises to about 500 ft.
(150 m). Plants often grow on rocks or the forest floor in leaf mold.
