Comments: This terrestrial, sometimes lithophytic or epiphytic species comes from the highlands in Thailand, Burma, and India.Medium-sized plant.
Donor's culture notes: Temperature range I (60-83°F). It is deciduous and needs a definite rest once leaves are shed. Once growth starts, water well and it is a heavy feeder. Likes organics. Best grown as a terrestrial. Plants grown epiphytically seems smaller to me. Propagate from old stems cut into 3 inch lengths and inserted into humus or sphagnum. It puts out keikis easily this way and they will bloom a few years later. This is a cooler growing species than T. marshalliana and happier under 83°F in the summer. Mine grows happily at 75°F. A cool winter to send the plant to dormancy is needed. Pods mature at 10 months.
Unique ID: MC5255
(this will not change even if any part of the name should change)
