Comments: Medium-sized plant. This is one of the terete-leaved cleisostomas... This species is very close to Cleis. simondii but differs with respect to the calli inside the spur and with respect to the angle between the spur and column. This plant blooms when about 6-8 inches tall and produces a branched inflorescence with up to thirty 1 cm (1/2 inch) flowers.
