From Brazil. Cattleya dolosa is thought by some to be the natural hybrid (Cattleya x dolosa) of Cattleya walkeriana and Cattleya loddigesii var. harrisoniana. These species, however, have all been crossed in cultivation, and the hybrids from these crosses are very different from Cattleya dolosa. On the other hand, selfings or sibling crosses of Cattleya dolosa reportedly result in plants exactly like the parent. |
