Comments: |
Medium-sized plant. A Mexican species from a small region of Guerrero. Some authorities consider it a subspecies of Encyclia diota. However, E. atrorubens is an Autumn bloomer, while E. diota is reported to bloom in Spring. Resources on the web disagree about the fragrance, or lack thereof, of this species. This cultivar is not fragrant |
Donor's culture notes: |
Temperature range I (60-83°F). Grown in a greenhouse with winter minimum of 60°F and summer maximum of 95°F. Seems to grow well in clay pot with bark/Aliflor mix. |
