A Dendrobium from the section Latouria, native to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. It is a large plant with 3-6 leaves at the end of long cylindrical pseudobulbs. Plants stand approximately 24" tall. They bear up to twenty flowers per inflorescence. They typically bloom during the winter. |

It is easy to grow in intermediate (60-85 °F) or warm (70-90 °F) conditions. D. spectabile requires year-round watering, appreciates bright light and high humidity around 80%. |
