Comments: The plant has won plant table selection for best species in 3 out of 4 times in past years at the Houston OS meeting. It has been selected as a candidate for AOS judging, but needed more canes. Flowers occur in pairs at each joint on each cane. The plant had about 200 flowers in February through spring, and bloomed again in July. The flowers are darker than most, and has been described by AOS judges in Houston as possibly var. wallisii. Lavender petals with a natural spread of 1.5 inch to 2 inches, lip lavender with deep bluish-purple in throat. Large plant.
