  Cultivar Details for
Bletilla striata (Baker's group)

Comments: Medium-sized plant.
Donor's culture notes: Our Bletilla grow outside in a well-drained, fairly shady, flower bed on the east side of the house in Portland, Oregon. They get full sun for about an hour in midmorning. We started with a few plants and they are trying to take over a bed where we also grow Cypripedium formosanum. Propagation has been by underground rhizome, we're not aware of spontaneous seedlings. Plants are subject to winter frost but growing close to the house prevents serious freezing.
Unique ID: MC1543
(this will not change even if any part of the name should change)
