Very large plant. Reliable bloomer. Swordlike pendant leaves 12-20 inches long make this dramatic beauty handsome both in and out of flower. My plant was been remounted in 2004 from cork to a 4 foot long 4 inch diameter sassafras log. Heavy but happy. Each growth can support 1-2 flowers at a time often with up to 5 flowers total. It's budding up again now. Flowers are similar to E. parkinsonianum. Flowers have a natural spread of 4 to 5 inches. |
Donor's culture notes: |
Temperature range I (60-83°F). Easy grower under wide variety of conditions. My plant enjoys a cork or sassafras mount. Watch for bracts that may trap new leaves from expanding properly. |
