Was purchased from a nursery in Surabaya (Java) but originated in Borneo, probably Kalimantan. This plant is being cultivated in Singapore. Flowering has occurred in all months from April to November. Has 3-4 flowers per inflorescence. The fleshy flowers are 1.2 inches (3 cm) across. Sepals and petals are creamy white. Blossoms have ovate, acute petals. The lip midlobe, which is bright orange on the inside, is very warty. The sidelobes are large relative to the midlobe. |
Donor's culture notes: |
Grows well when given standard conditions for a lowland tropical epiphytic dendrobium. This plant is on a treefern slab in 50% shade (Singapore). |
