Question: Is there any way to get around the browser messages that appear regarding security settings, or to have my browser display photos on your site?
Answer:
This is a problem in certain versions of Internet Explorer. It happens when the page is secure but some of the images on the page are not encrypted (which would be needless). It's frequently also a problem in online banking web sites. It occurs if your web browser is set to a security setting that is needlessly high. This may solve it:
- IN IE 7 or 8, click "Tools" in menu bar or tools icon
- Click Internet Options (bottom choice)
- Click the "security" tab
- Choose "Custom level"
- Scroll down about halfway to "Display mixed content"
- Click "enable"
- Click OK to save & close
- Click "apply" if it is highlighted, otherwise click OK.
All this does is allow photos and icons to be displayed without warning.
