Question:
Why are there buttons in the web site in places where I expect to already see information?
Answer:
There are places in the web site where you have to click a button to get to the page you want. In some places it appears that you should already be at the proper page, but you have to click a button again!
This is because we are in the process of converting the web site from an old button-driven form (which was required for data security in the early software) to a new entirely link-driven form. This will be good because the back-button will work and you'll be able to bookmark web pages... as well as being able to log in from almost any page without leaving it.
But this takes a lot of work since each page needs to be entirely re-written, and Troy is the only one doing this, and of course has other duties too.
This means that until all the pages are converted, some will still need to use buttons to get to working older pages.
