Once I have requested notification or reserved a flask, how long until I get it?
Answer:
From the point the notification requests are accepted to germination, which is when reservations are accepted, varies a lot. If a donor only reports the seed when it is harvested, then it is only as long as it takes the seed to germinate, which can be as short as a week or as long as a year. If the donor reported it at the time of pollination, then add in the time from pollination to seed harvest which commonly varies from 2 months to a year and a half.
At germination we accept reservations for flasks. The time from germination to seedlings that are ready to remove from flasks can be as short as 6 months (rare), or a year (typical), or 2 years (not uncommon). Except for special circumstances, we only ship plants that are ready to remove from the flask.
We all must be very patient!
