Incoming seed is examined to determine embryo count to help decide how much seed should be sown, and/or which capsule would be the best to sow. Permanent sample slides are also prepared. Each separate package of seed is examined because these are generally from separate capsules, which is what we request from our donors.

Packet received was a plastic Dramamine tube. The post office required that we pick up the letter with the tube in it and pay $1.51 postage.
22 very small capsules of which two have split. No seed appears to remain in the two split capsules. Two additional capsules are too tiny to work with. Of the remaining 18, 11 are green, 4 are orange and 3 are brown.
Cannot see seeds in capsules. Took photo of one green and one brown under microscope. Will dry capsules for a few days and try again.
