ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia and Ecuador. This orchid is found only in the coastal Chocó region of western Colombia and near Esmeraldas on the coast in northwest Ecuador. Plants grow on trees in the hot, humid, coastal lowlands at about 700 ft. (210 m).
