ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northeast India in the Khasia Hills of Meghalaya and the Sylhet region of Bangladesh. Plants usually grow at 3280-4920 ft. (1000-1500 m) in the light shade of shrubby vegetation. They often occur on dolomitic limestone outcrops over streams and rivers, often near waterfalls. Roots are normally embedded in soil and moss.
