The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Burma, Thailand, Malaya, Borneo and the Philippines with
distribution extending through Sumatra, Java, and the rest of Indonesia to
as far eastward as New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Plants grow in
wetter, non-seasonal lowlands throughout the range at 2950 ft. (50-900 m).
Plants are most frequently found in the first fork of trees which have a
light canopy. While rather common through most of its range, this orchid
is now considered rare in Java, probably because of habitat destruction.
