The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: This epiphytic or lithophytic plant is distributed from
the Himalayan Region of northeast India in the Khasia Hills area, through
Bhutan and Myanmar (Burma) into Indo-China and Yunnan Province of
southwest China. Details of the habitat in India were not given, but
plants in Bhutan have been collected in the Punakha district at 4150 ft.
(1260 m). In Vietnam, plants have been found near Dalat as well as several
other locations, with one collection reported at 3950—4250 ft. (1200—1300
m). In China, plants are found on tree trunks in sparse woods or at the
edge of forests at 4600—5600 ft. (1400—1700 m)
