ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sabah (North Borneo). Originally found at about 1500 ft. (460 m) near Pamol, this orchid usually occurs at 1650–3300 ft. (500–1000 m). It is now known to occur over an extremely limited range in hill forests on Mt. Kinabalu as well as along the Labuk River and its tributaries in northeastern Sabah.
