Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 100 plants (based on flask surveys done 02/17/2014 )
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 20 - 40 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 06/09/2014 )
From one most recently surveyed flask 20 - 40 mm (06/09/2014)

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Japan and Korea. Specific details about habitat location, type, and elevation have not been reported. Christenson (1995), however, indicated that cultivated plants grow best if temperature are intermediate to cool, so we have selected climate data and estimated the habitat elevation accordingly. The resulting climate table and cultural suggestions should be used cautiously. These conditions should keep the plant alive until more precise habitat location and elevation are available. See note at Temperatures. This orchid was reportedly found in the Ryukyu Islands and as far south as Iriomote Island, but Walker (1976) reported that no specimens from the Ryukyus have been seen.
