Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 252 plants (based on flask surveys done 01/27/2012 through 07/18/2012)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 1 - 20 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 12/13/2011 through 07/18/2012)
From one most recently surveyed flask 10 - 20 mm (07/18/2012)

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Hispaniola. Plants are adaptable and grow in semiarid, arid, and moist regions in both dry and humid subtropical forests from near sea level to about 2300 ft. (0-700 m), although collections have been reported from as high as 3700 ft. (1130 m). The varieties albo-rubra and auro-rubra, however, have been found only in the lower-elevation, drier habitats.
