Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 120 plants (based on flask surveys done 10/15/2009 through 10/29/2009)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 30 - 90 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 04/19/2010 through 06/28/2010)
From one most recently surveyed flask 30 - 65 mm (06/28/2010)

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: South Africa. Plants are fairly common on sandstone outcrops where shallow pockets of soil and decomposed forest litter have collected and on trees where they may be fully exposed or in more shaded situations. They are found near the coast from near Port Elizabeth in eastern Cape Province to just north of Durban in Natal. Plants are then found further inland in forests at elevations up to 2950 ft. (900 m) through Swaziland northward to near Louis Trichardt in northern Transvaal.
