ORIGIN/HABITAT: Assam in Northeast India, Burma, northern Thailand, the
Xieng Khouang region of northern Laos, and southwest China. In Thailand,
plants grow at 5000-5200 ft. (1520-1590 m) near Chiang Mai and at 4750 ft.
(1450 m) northwest of Pai.
