Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range W (70-90°F)

Comments: Small pseudobulbs grow tightly compressed with 1-2 leaves, 6-8 inches long. Pot cultivation is not recommended. A cork slab looks best. Full sun is recommended for areas north of Georgia & South Carolina. South of that, full sun to light shade is fine. Inflorescence is long and branched with age, with flower heads produced near the ends. The flowers are produced sequentially with a number open at a time and more produced as the older ones drop. This happens over a long period of time with new spikes produced as the older ones begin to fade. This species is of course, one of the major contributors to the flower size, shape and color of the popular Cattleytonia hybrids.

Pod parent plant: One of the offspring from our TN2636 effort of 2001, grown by Gareth Wills. Small plant.
