The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.
This text is copyrighted by the Bakers and may not be reproduced without permission.
ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador and Peru. In Ecuador, plants have been collected
in the provinces of Azuay, Cañar, and Loja. They grow in relatively dry
rocky regions at 7200-10,150 ft. (2200-3100 m). Although reportedly
occurring in Peru, we have been unable to find any details of the habitat
in that country.
