Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F). Mine is mounted on a piece of branch, but I'm sure it will grow well in a basket or in a pot.
Comments: Parent plant: Small plant. This is the Philippine subspecies of Ascocentrum aurantiacum. It has smaller flowers that are lighter in color.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: The Philippines. This subspecies is endemic to the
Philippines where it is widely distributed. Plants have been found on
Luzon Island in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Rizal and on Mindinao
in the provinces of Agusa del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, and
Lanao del Sur. They grow as epiphytes at elevations up to 3950 ft. (1200
m), and plants may be found growing in deeply shaded situations.
