ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. This terrestrial orchid is found on steep slopes in wet montane cloudforest the western Andes. Plants have been for in Bolivar Province above Balzapamba at 4250 ft. (1300 m) and in Pichincha Province between Quito and Santo Domingo at 5600 ft. (1700 m).
