Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F)
Comments: Sib-cross of the new rupicolous Laelia species! Described by Francisco Miranda in June 2005 Orchids magazine. Parent plants from same trip. Plants about 4-5" tall; flowers 1-3/8". Taxonomically this species will correctly be Hoffmannseggella kleberi.
Pod parent plant: Small plant.

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. This rupiculous orchid was discovered in the state
of Minas Gerais near Presidente Kubitschek, which is near Diamantina, at
3600 ft. (1100 m). Plants grow fully exposed on large rocks with their
roots extended into cracks that are at least partially filled with plant
debris and other detritus.
