Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range W (70-90°F). Sobennikoffia robusta is native to Madagascar and enjoys bright light levels (3000 foot candles) and warm temperatures. Decrease watering late fall to early winter to give a drier rest period. It can be mounted or grown in a large chunky charcoal potting mixture.

Comments: Parent plant: Medium-sized plant. It is a very rewarding and easy to grow plant. This Sobennikoffia robusta hangs high in the warm greenhouse. It blooms reliably with many flowers on several flowers spikes per year. The flowers have a delightful spicy fragrance in the evening. The plant is only 12 inches tall and lives comfortably in a 6 inch clay pot.
